Behind The Scene's

These are images taken for our filming session on the 8th Dec 2011, the locations used were tooting broadway highstreet, and local residance near by.

 

GarageBand Functions

We are using the program Garageband to create a soundtrack over the trailer, as it has easy to use and useful functions. Some of the useful functions of our production includes the digital keyboard, as this means you can record a simple melody on the keyboard without having a physical one. As displayed onthe image on the left.

Other functions will use are the loop library, which is a large number of prerecorded instruments that you use to create a melody. It also has a useful selection menu that means you can select a specific soundtrack to your needs. As to choose your specific track you go through a selection process where you choose a number of different key words that describe what you looking for. As shown in the image on the left.

Special Effects

During the duration of the trailer we want to suggest a large change within our man characters life, and to do this we want to using special effect like alteration of brightness, saturation and contrast. Boosting the picture creates a more positive and energetic atmosphere, and lowering them give a dull and more grey feel. So we want to use both of these extremes to represent the two different areas of his life and to involve the audience with the feeling of the change our character is experiencing. An example of this effect is within the film Limitless although used in a different context it represents the effect we want to create, shown within the small clip bellow.

Narrative Script

We want a narrative voice over running along the beginning part of the trailer. I've written a short script that we will work around, its not to lengthy as its only suppose to run across a short part of the full trailer. We also need to work around this during the post production part of the filming. As the editing and order of the shots needs to fit with the narrative to its relevant.

"I guess my life couldn't have gotten further from where I wanted it to be. I am one of 7 billion people, living within an urban sprawl. The one life I had and I wasted it. It fading into the grey blur of the metropolis along with the rest..
Then I woke up. Who knows what changed and I’m not sure if I care. I just knew I had the motivation to change, to make my existence worthwhile."

This trailer is an example of the effect we want to create with our narrative.

we looked at distribution logos so that when we came down to creating ours we would have a rough idea of what can be done, so we looked at 4 main distribution logos.

Plan For December

 

December is now the time to start filming, as we have done all our preparation we can now put it all to use and start editing filming and putting it all together. and it also helps that we have synoptic day so that will be a major help for us as we will be filming.
